Was at one of the Grand River CA lakes.

One cast I reeled in had someone else's line on it. I don't mind this when it feels like there is a lure on the end of it. Gotta love it when you find nice lures to add to your tackle box. Turned out to be this nice crank bait so I rigged it on with the leader it was on and used it to troll. Caught this hammer handle with it.

Within two minutes of finding that first lure, I once again hooked someone's line. This time I could feel that it was snagged on the bottom so I started hand lining it and yanked it out. Came up with this pike spoon. Also trolled with it but to no avail.

Anyway, also caught this LMB in a small cove full of downed trees.

Tonnes of jumping carp all over the lake today too.

I was at the cottage all of august.. There is one bass that had 2 lures attached to it when I hooked it. One spinner, a crank, and mine at the end when it managed to get away.. Was a bit too excited about seeing the free loot

nice. even better when you get it from the mouth of a fish. closest i came to that was in may in jersey. was bass fishing with wide gap hook and senko and hooked a chain pickerel but he got off after 3 seconds. when i reeled in i had another senko and wide gap hook stuck on mine. so basically this fish is a genius and used my hook to hook on to the hook in his mouth and yank it out.

and is it just me or does everyone do the same? as soon as you find a nice lure you just have to rig it and fish with it? the first time i ever did that i caught this hammer handle. i still have that lure after 5 years and is the lure i've caught the most fish on. and it gets frequent use.

Fly fishing for salmon I have actually hooked another fly through the eye of the hook that was attached to the mouth of a sockeye.  Landed the fish too.  Couldn't ever replicate that if I tried.

In the last two weeks I have landed two 12g floats and one 15g, two cleos and one moonshine spoon. All in perfect condition.
