People never seem to realize it but IMO this is the best time of year for steelhead, no one targets them and they're quite aggressive. Nice one there Kit!
I thought trout and salmon are targeted the same way? The only difference for me is the weight of my line and rod.... then again, I am a complete novice...havent been out yet and I'm definitely a salmon virg
Can you explain?

difference in meaning everyone targets the big salmon up front, but fail to notice the smaller trout darting around behind the salmon, watch a pool closely, you'll see them, spotted a nice brown the other day up behind a hen in the east

Shmog told me a story he was using chinny roe and a brown came across the river from sitting along the other side just to hit that bag he was drifting. Shows how much they love it and how competitive they can be.

well i look the same like u FF. I look behind the pool or side. i saw 3 browns and 1 rainbow Sat up east
