More rules or bans won't do anything really. Maybe in the most commonly visited CO spots yes but even then, I've only ever seen 2 CO 's and they were across the river from me.

Point is that you can implement as many rules and and bans as you wish, but people that break them will always be present.

nope, but make rivers and creeks c&r only or no kill,  for salmon will

thats naive. i see people taking fish from c&r sections pretty often as well

 

problem really falls down to not enough manpower to enforce the rules untill people get it

If roe gets banned I'm starting an artificial roe business.

Ya I agree, it's sickening to see salmon on the sides with obvious slits in the belly, at the rate of salmon getting gutted the populations will go down.. ban the roe lol

no... I don't think so.  Loogan actions are not on the 'rise' they are probably lower than in the past historically because of new laws and regulations in place.  Also, it is a debatable topic of whether or not salmon even reproduce effectively in our tribs anyways.

I am not one of them, because i milk the females and let them loose to die of natural causes. But i don't see anything wrong with that. anything over 30 inches is not fit for consumption anyways, salmon die either way and their carcass will be on the banks regardless, just not at once, plus the dead salmon will feed 1000s of other organisms and animals and even puts back minerals into the water. only downfall is smell. also i think when you see is 10, people are selling the roe. or they are professional guides. other wise, i dont see why you would even need more than one female for entire trout season.

again, you don't NEED to catch and milk any females, its a want by many anglers, you can buy the eggs from a reputable source (ie Fishheads) and have enough to last a while.  there are many other baits that work just as effective as roe, flies, hard baits, beads, worms artificials

they are good, they have their time, but nothing is more effective than live bait. and personally i really like making my roe. reputable sources are good, but why 30 dollars if i can do it for free and will last me several seasons.

i dunno, guess its a personal choice everyone has to make, for me, i'd save preserve the natural breeding stock to help future generations enjoy a great fishery, so if i decide i want to use roe that day, i'll go buy some from a trout pond owner or my local tackle shop

I've never caught fish on roe, I've used it several times over several years but the closest i got was a fish that broke my line at port hope. I have much better luck on beads or single artificial pink eggs
