With frost already accumulating on my lawn and my truck wind shield the last few mornings it has gotten me thinking about ice fishing.  Although my fly rods will not be put away just yet, I am getting my ice gear ready for the upcoming season.

 

I will be making the flight back to Kotzebue for some more sheefish action this coming April and decided to share a video of our last trip.  Getting pumped for that trip, slab fish and catching them with great friends.  Nothing better.  Enjoy.

Nice video. A whole lot better than 1 someone posted last year showing guys with big bucks tied up in all the latest gear and they were catching a few crappies!!

I haven't headed out yet but I know a few people who are already catching lakers and rainbows as of 10/31.  Pretty early
