Top left is a natural river cured brown trout roe

Top right is a secret recipe of brown trout roe

Bottom left is fishheads salmon roe

Bottom right is again fishheads but bow roe..

In reality, (I believe nado mentioned it) There is no right or wrong way to cure eggs. We all started doing it one way, caught fish, tried something else and caught some more fish. End of the day its all about having confidence in your bait.

Exactly, curing eggs serves one of two purposes. Either to make you eggs more durable so they last longer or to add color/scent. I am not interested in cures that add color/scent anymore so all I do is river cure, add kosher salt and they are good to go.
