Can anyone recommend the best fingerless gloves for the winter months of fishing on the river? Want something waterproof and decently warm.
Thanks,

The Dollarama has very warm gloves.
I would just cut the fingers and they kept me warm.
Not bad for $3 and I bought multiples to swap if they got wet.

I have these, they work well. The foldover part can be quickly tucked away and its like you have fingerless gloves.
PS even the thumbs are fingerless (hard to tell from this photo).

FYI - if you side cast, make sure you are using a glove with zero texture/rubber/grip ... if not.. you wont be side casting lol.

Ill second Bow_mans comment on the glacier gloves. I have 3 pairs now; the fingerless, foldover mitts and split finger gloves. They all have their merits but I have to say the foldover mitts are my favourite, when I need to keep warm I can fold over the gloves and when it comes time to fight the fish I can fold them over and expose my fingers to grip my reel. http://www.basspro.c...OSSSELL_PRODUCT
I use the spilt fingers for fly fishing because it still gives me motion with all of my fingers and maintains warmth in my hands, the fingerless gloves are basically used just for early season and spring fishing when the temps are around the 0 degree mark

I picked those up as well. Great gloves and like bow_man said, great price. I was so pleased with them, I bought another pair.
In cold weather situations, I use the fleece Dollarama gloves mentioned by the guys as a liner and then switch out as it gets wet. I dont like using the foldover mitts, I get clumsy when using that style lol.

between men and women, women endure pain better, but that is a different topic. wear gloves, frost bite does not distinguish between anything. buddy of mine cant feel the tip tip of two of his fingers, cause he though fishing in minus 10 was hardcore and cool.

Ironic and your name is "coldfeet" not only should you put on gloves but buy some wool socks!

These. Great. Cheap and cant ever over look wool. Even when its wet keeps 80% of its insulation value.

Probably going to get a lot of flack for this, but seriously, $60 Simms gloves? Or any $60 gloves (like Simms) for that matter.
Are they REALLY worth it? Do they actually keep you warm fishing in negative temperatures?
