Hot Paws work great for me. Take your glove off fight/land /release, wipe your hands off with your towel and place them in your pockets. We use them on the ice and they are great.

the hot pockets work well, except, what about you hand thats constantly exposed holding the rod? get a pair of good warm gloves, and don't mess around with the cold. it doesn't discriminate between race or sex

They last me a solid 5-6 hours. One pack per outing is my routine.

I agree. I use it in conjunction with my half finger gloves/ wool liner combo. The tips of my fingers get cold eventually no matter what I do, so a few minutes of the handwarmers will make the outing that much more enjoyable.
