Catch fish and cover water when theirs no fish.

Last week I had great success but no action this last 4 days.

I've done pause jerks that lasted from 5-10 seconds.

Not bad at all!

The weather (high atmospheric pressure, etc) can play into it too. Some days they agressive enough to hit on short pauses, in some weather fronts, you could be counting to thirty or 45 for your pauses.

Thanks!  Our weather has been weird these last couple of days.  It must be messing with their system.

Here's my friends pike caught on a Rapala Husky Jerk

Thanks guys and thanks for the feedback.

Jaw spreaders, long needle nose pliers and gloves will be on my shopping list.

Can you guys recommend a good pair of fishing gloves that can handle pike and even musky.

Should I look into Kevlar fishing gloves?
