Hey guys, I've just booked a guided ice fishing trip on the Bay of Quinte with a few friends. We're fishing for walleye. I'm pretty excited as this is my first guided trip on the ice. I'm just curious to know if anyone knows how the fishing on the bay has been this year and what to expect as I've never fished it. Also wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with our guide service. We booked a trip with Quinte hardwater specialists www.quintehardwaterspecialists.com we have it booked for February 1st. Thanks! 😃

What happened to the guided trip from last year?
It got cancelled last minute by the guide I guess the conditions weren't right or the guide was ill. Anyways I thought I'd try again this year 🙏

That's too bad. Either way, I stand by what I said last time - the Bay has trophy 'eyes, and the bite is definitely on. My buddy pulled out a ~10lb fish the other day.

Thanks man! I'm hoping for the best!

You have a guide so there shouldn't be much of a guessing game. But this is good knowledge to have.

Last weekend, My dad and I set up first light. Marked a ton of fish, turned out to be perch .Typically if you are marking perch, you will hit perch and no eyes. So we moved camp and the same thing happened. We finally moved camp one more time around 11AM and in 45 minutes we got 5 eyes. Don't be afraid to cover water.
