So, I went to my local Dollarama today, and I saw one of the employees putting fishing lures onto the shelf. I waited till he was done, and went to check it out.

I found a Chug Bug, $1.25

Heres a quick comparison to 2 real Storm Chug Bugs. Bit sloppy paint job around the eye and mouth, but who cares as long as the bottom and sides looks clean.

Oh, and they sell Stren line. Iv used Stren Original for years, great line, and this is supposedly a more abrasion resistant version of the original. Available in 6lb and 20lb(in my local store), 330yd, $3.

If sure all Dollarama carries fishing stuff, no matter how small. The thing is, all Dollarama also do these seasonal/holiday sales, which limits their stock variety for most of the year. If yours dont have it now, check back after easter sales are over. Between easter and thanksgiving is when most of the fishing stuff are out.

cant speak for that chug bug but i had a white diver minnow once from the same brand and it was like magic for pike and bass up in parry sound area.

sadly i could never find it again ;(

also they had some small trout spinners in a 5 pack(same brand i think?) and they were deadly on small streams. but thats going back quite a few years.

sure beats 7-9$ a pop from the well known brands ;)

A couple of weeks ago I grabbed all the Stren Flurocast my local store had. Lol. $3 a pop can't be beat.

It looks alright but I definitely wouldn't fish it without swapping out those soft hooks.

Why not, it is a buck or two, buy them and try them, not like your out $12-$15 like Rapala's. Even if you switch out the shitty hooks your still ahead of the game.
