Hey OFF,

Like many of you, I'm just a little excited to start the fishing season. I've been following the ice to see when it will be out on the lakes that I fish and found a useful tool to do just that.

The NOAA Coastwatch Great Lakes Map has satellite imagery updated twice a day that gives you a good idea of where there is ice. When you look at the maps, you'll see that Lake Ontario is about 95% clear where lakes like Simcoe and Scugog are in the early stages of breaking open and showing signs of thin ice.

Click Here for the link to the site and click on the area that interests you.
