Hi guys, any information on how the Saugeen is looking, flowing, moving (fish?), would be greatly appreciated. I have been in New Zealand for 3 years, returning a few months ago to my birth-home in Southern Ontario, and I'm headed up to the Saugeen this weekend.

I shall also be sure to post my experiences of the 5 days I will be there.

If you are around, say "hey". My name is Russ, 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, and I wear a black jacket with a light-tan Simm's vest... I'll either be float-reeling it, or fly fishing. I spend most of my time below Denny's, from the first bend 100 metres from the darn on down.

Catch your limit but limit your catch, and celebrate other people who do the same, guys!

(In NZ, I caught about 150 trout, and kept a total of 3 for the dinner table. You should have seen their faces with me releasing them... they thought I was positively nuts. I just told them that there are not too many places like this left in the entire world... so... work to preserve it that way!!! They still thought I was nuts! lol)

PS- that pic is an 11 pounder caught on a snail-pattern fly in NZ, under Mount Ruapehu.

WELCOME TO OFF!

Hey there, and welcome. I have no experience with that particular river. If you try sending a pm to Ditchwizard, he may give you some information regarding water levels since that is his home waters
