Hi Guys hope all is well. I am new to Toronto all the way from South-Africa.
I am interested in bass, carp and catfish fishing. Can anyone direct me on where to start spots and what I need for a licence to fish and where I can get one.
thanks guys.

welcome to the board and the country.

let us know which area you are living and if you have a car and how far you're willing to drive. and if you're willing to rent a boat or purchase one soon like a canoe or kayak.

as for spots, people will gladly direct you to some general bodies of water but not the exact productive spots they have worked hard to find.

as for licence, google ontario fishing licence and you will see the details. you can get it online with $2 fee or so on top of the cost and print it. or you can go to canadian tire, or a lot of local fishing shops but best to call ahead to make sure because not all do it.

Hello. Tommy Thompson park and the Toronto Islands are good for carp.
