They are brown trout.

Anyone else agree the second one looks very unique for its small size? It has already taken on the shape of a fattie yet it's miniscule!

I think that they're baby rainbows. If you search baby rainbow trout that's the pic that comes up.

Its really hard to tell in the pic. The tail looks like it has a bit of a fork developing which makes me think it could be an Atlantic but that could just be the way you are holding it. To me it looks like either an atlantic or a bow.

Edit:

Since there are no spots on the tail i'm going to remove bow from my guessing list and add Brown and maybe a coho. I would expect to see more spots if it were a brown but they don't always follow the rules. The tail on the second fish is strange.

Spots, colour, position of eye relative to jaw, shape, all 99.9% brownies, with the 0.1% chance they are Atlantics that look exactly like browns :)

*nerd voice* In my expert opinion I would have to say they are most definitively Salmo Trutta.

It's actually the extremely rare "brown trout pike" - a pike with the head of a brown trout, and the body of a brown trout!
