Took the kayak out and second cast brought me this:

Very nice, looks tasty. 

 

I don't know which zone you were in but if 17, just an fyi in case you weren't aware, there is a slot size for walleye. 

 

Of course on that fish, you could always rip the end of the tail off and say a pike must have bit its tail off, and now it's within the slot

Yeah 17, it's right on the edge but looks like it's half inch over.  Swear it came in under while sitting in my kayak...I'll have to be more careful next time.
