So in a few hours the family and I are taking a 12 hr trek to the Gaspe region of Quebec. My wife has a friend who still has family in the area so we're staying there. Beats camping with 3 kids under 7.

I also took the opportunity to book a day of guiding on the St Jean river. Conditions have been hot so we plan to start early 0430 or 5.

Got my go pro. I'll keep you guys posted.

One of our friends, their family is from the area. This was used to catch big Cod back in the day.

So after 2800+Kms. Finally back at home. The trip was a blast. Totally fell in love with the area. There's something about being on the coast like that. It's hard to put a finger on it.

So I ended up going out with the guide on Wednesday on the St Jean River. Wow what a sight. I had two on the line but they spat the hook within a few seconds.

From the guide who was watching up top said hook set looked fine, just head shakes and rolls and they got off.

I had my go pro with me so I'm piecing together a video. Lots of work.

Here are a few pics.

Ill post the vid when I have it done.

Yep. Addict for life. At the end of the day he told me that even though there are so many fish in the river he's surprised that I even hooked up. Didn't land them but still awesome.
