Hello Guys,

I have been going around every creek and river in Ontario and unfortunately there is no sign of any Salmon.  The only Salmon that I saw had 10 Russian guys with braided line and anchor hooks trying to snag the poor things as*hole. I normally hook about 10-90 salmon during a good day after the rain but this year my dream has been shattered.  Fyi, I do not snag and I get most of my fish right in the jab.

10-90? In a day? I'd be alright with 10 in a season.

P.S. Would you happen to be a dentist?

In regards to the run, its dead slow now due to the lack of rain, low water levels and extreme heat

90 fish sounds like a stretch. Keep your teeth nice and clean... :) Kidding, kidding...

But F89 is right, low water+heat+no rain=no salmon. No luck off the piers lately either.

Sorry Guys,

I did not mean to sound like a douchebag with 10-90 numbers but with my new Alaskan techniques and presentations I have been reaching the sky since last Year's run with extreme hook ups.  I probably catch the same fish over and over but if it's in the jab I log it in my Fishing diary and I normally stick to a good pool and spend 12-17 hours a day. I probably see most of you guys from here on the runs and have probably given some tips but with all the dead Chinooks with bellies cut open I have vowed never to give anyone any info even if they claim to catch and release.  Thanks guys for reading and have a great long weekend and make sure to spend some quality time at home and sharpen your hooks if you know what I mean.

I think even if sharing knowledge on how to catch fish helps one person evolve from snagging to sport- fishing, overall it benefits the fishery.

Too dang hot out. Went to a couple different piers at night over the weekend and not 1 fish caught. About a dozen people at each pier (all chucking moonshines).

BRING THE RAIN!

Don't know where you have been but there have been fish for over 3 weeks now, a small run came in and everyone was hooking up, about 2 weeks ago, after that it has been a few coming in each night. I wouldn't say its dead slow but slow for sure, compared to 2 weeks ago, there is more than 1 fish in a river though, if not you're checking the wrong rivers ;).

Checking some of the hydrometric charts, there has been spikes, and has been rain... it must be the temperature if there really aren't any fish in yet.

The NY side is going to get plenty of rain this week. With lower temps, looks promising. Just a matter of time.
