the Westminster Ponds are located in the SW part of London; literally minutes from the city core. i fished it for the first time on Monday evening, with my new to me kickboat. this was the result.........

tons of these little guys......

this was my first ever large mouth on fly.

then there was this.....

this is now my personal best for bass overall.

with LMB season coming to an end, i'll be getting wet as often as i can before it is time to start thinking about steelhead.

i think that the avg depth is around 5 m. be careful though where you step in the lily pad fringe. it is all boggy and full of holes. i went from 1 m to 2 m of water in one step.

these vids are what drove me out there in the first place........

with 5 or 6 different ponds, there is a ton of water and weed lines to explore.

the pond i'm fishing has a lily pad fringe that is a minimum of 20m from the shore to the edge, ALL THE WAY AROUND IT. i need to figure out a fly to tie that i can start dropping in the holes and by the submerged logs.

there is so much water and shoreline here, that i don't think that i'll be fishing the Thames River for awhile.

The ghetto fisherman!

I've heard there's some nice largemouth in those ponds, nice catch man! Speaking of steelhead, there's a video of ghetto fisherman hooking into one right by Springbank.
