for the winter months I have a pair of cabelas 3mm neoprenes, just layer up a bit and it keeps me warm, only beef I have with neos is that there not breathable so after a few hours of fishing, when i come to take them off the dampness on my body and the cold air makes a bad mix, leaves me feeling really cold for about 10mins on the drive home before the truck warms up.

yes. that made me switch to breathables...in harsh winter -30. Long johns, sweatpants, thermal socks warm fleece top, -40 degree tested parka...heavy but will handle the cold. as long as I have water...i'm down for a fight.

too some extent, breathables have that same affect. going from a warm humid environment to a cool dry air will always give you a chill.
