Hi everyone,

Tried a North Trib for the last couple days with no luck. What are guys using to catch steelies and rainbow? I tried roe and some other artificial baits but no bites; rigs were mostly dropshot, some floaters.

Waters have come up in the last couple days due to rain so I was hoping some luck was in order - nope.

Have you tried beads. I had great success with orange 8&10mm beads.

hey CB sorry I had to edit your topic, we don't allow naming of rivers or specific spots here.

I'm not going to downplay the effectiveness of drop shotting or bottom bouncing but the typical method of catching steelhead on the Great Lakes Tributaries is float fishing, I would say its the most effective method and also the easiest to start with. Here is an article by Raven on it if you would like to give it a shot.

Thanks guys.

Apologies on naming the river, didn't know the rules.
