any one have exprince with nylon line

Yup! Used it as a kid. Caught lots of small specks with that line on a bamboo pole with a garden worm on a medium size Kirby hook!! These days trout are a lot smarter, though, and you need better line and nearly invisible leaders, no to mention expensive rods and reels!!

you don't NEED those things to catch fish, but experience has taught us that a better more natural presentation will catch more fish, ie fluorocarbon leaders. the expensive rods and reels, those are for the fisherman! all of my spinning rods are under $100.......i won't get into my fly rods :/
in all fairness though, $100 in todays terms, is like $20 when you were a youngster

As we evolve to be smarter beings so do the fish! Soon enough they'll be selling us stuff we don't need.
