Used to be excited about it, now it reminds me of a zoo

Not looking forward at all. Too much headache with all the zoo.
And takes no skill to catch the fish sitting on the beds.

Just have to be in the right frame of mind.Used to be excited about it, now it reminds me of a zoo
Yea it's busy. Lots of once a year trout fisherman. But I love to see the faces and excitement on their first steel success.
I enjoy socializing and hearing how far they've traveled.
Lots of great people out there if you just take things alot less serious.
I have some great memories of alot of very comical incidents. And I'd love to relive how proud and excited I was catching my first rainbow. Priceless

Mild winter so most likely fish have made their way up.
But.
Early arrivals also means early drop backs.

I've always wondered, can you chuck spoons off piers for them the way you do for salmon? Or do they strictly eat egg imitations?

Casting cleos or whatever.
Mostly Jacks and shakers.
Juvenile salmon that is.
3-4 lbs most common and browns.
Small salmon are delicious.

I have the Wednesday, Thursday off after opener so might get out then. Honestly Ive been after them since October and, can't believe I'm saying this, am getting needing a break from it all.

Taking the mon and Tuesday off after opener. Should be a bit less traffic!
I'm doing the same, hoping the Grand on the Monday won't be too crowded!

There are plans of an extended camp/road-trip brewing in my head. Once that starts happening its almost certain I'll be doing it haha.
Want to leave from Southwestern Ontario area, head up to Georgian Bay, and way up toward the Soo even to visit a buddy. Two weeks of relaxation time off from school. May as well.

Wondering if anyone knew if the FMZ 17 exceptions allow people to fish in Durham region South of the CNR all year for bows? It says that it does but I wanna be sure.
