Hello everyone,

This forum has me hooked and learning at an incredible rate; stuff you can't learn from books.

I fished pike, bass and panfish for recreation as a kid quite a lot (Wolfe island) and then lost touch with it until last year. Living close to the humber and discovering the steelheader community has got my juices flowing again.

Never caught a trout in my life, but can't wait. Could only afford a 8'6 Okuma Celilo (8-17lbs) rod with an okuma trio 30s spin reel for now until I can get into centerpins; so I can have some variety when trout aren't available.

So I'll be joining the rest of the rookies in asking questions on using a spin setup for float drifting.

Glad to be here,

NMCMLK

Welcome aboard.
Rookie to expert on here.
And all seem to be good people.
I'm sure they'll be happy to answer any questions.
Oops. Myself included.

Hello and welcome to the forum! Good time to be joining the forum in search of catching that first trout. Going to be lots of trout talk for the next while! There are lots of float fishermen and women on here.
