Recreational catch and release fishing only. Do not feed the ducks either. Do not cast towards ducks or Canadian Geese. Cast away from them.

Next time u r there, u should be fishing for many many hours before something bites, if any :)) lol
 
There are better spots in Markham. I have caught 3-4lb lm bass in toogood. I caught a 3lb sm bass by the milne dam. multiple species including pike under 407 & markham rd. i have caught carp by mountjoy. lots of better places to fish.
 
What makes Berczy park a good destination is that there's lots of parking space, and a washroom to wash your hands or pee. And the fish can be very large. Carps and cats. The bass need to be caught and released. Tourist from China unfortunately eat the fish claiming that the water from China is dirtier and that fish is money. However it is illegal to consume these fish. The water is very dirty.
