Been doing this for years with eggs, old kitchen trick we used to use for sous vide

all well and good until the package gets bumped around the seal breaks. Been a butcher for 17 years, there is nothing, and i mean nothing better than then the brown freezer wrap.  Freezer wrap is coated on the inside with a food grade poly.  We use a commercial vacuum sealer for our freezer products, only because its easier for the customer to look and see whats in it.  other than that, we're constantly resealing things because the packages get shuffled or bumped, or dropped, seal breaks, and freezer burn sets in.

My uncle was a food city butcher right up to retirement.
Do they sell this brown wrap at local grocery stores?
I've never noticed it.

Thanks, I look at this way, people will always need to eat, being in a food retail business is almost guaranteed employment.

im not sure what they use for butcher wrap at grocery stores, I work for a small family run shop.  My guess is that they would use an uncoated wrap sinces its cheaper.  You can buy the rolls from supply place, We sell them to hunters all the time, around $25 for a 15 inch wide roll with 900ft on it.

My uncle at one point thought raising rabbits and being a butcher was a no brainer.
Till.
The kids named them all.
One was actually house trained.
Needless to say he couldn't kill them.
Sold them off and let my cousins choose 2 males as pets.

yea, we've heard that story from some of our customers, raised on a farm, named the animals, parents told them they were having Bessy for supper........you can imagine the rest when Bessy was on their plate and not sitting at the table.
