Simms waders now up to 999.99
I can buy a used 14 ft boat, trailer, and motor for that kind of cash.
As long as there's people willing to pay manufacturers will just keep asking for more.
What has happened to common sense.

It is insane... They did come out with the headwaters pro, which has most of the g3 features for $100US less than the g3's.

I've been shopping around myself Dill.
Orvis encounters 169.99 basspro shop American.
Same waders at Sail 280.00?
My math . With exchange should be around 220.00 Canadian at basspro.

I just bought some Simms Freestone waders for under $300 CAD at Basspro.

I have had good luck with FroggToggs and you can get them for a good price at Lebarons. Their priced from $120 - $230. http://www.lebaron.c...frogg_toggs.pdf

If you can buy them during no tax days even better.

Simms ego?

I know mine are the cheaper Simms but I bought them because they just seemed to fit me better than some of the others I tried on. I will pay more for comfort.

I did check out some other brands and they are also getting up there in price. It is not only Simms.

For a K and wading boots on top of that ?
Simms should carry me across the river.
Just because some people can come up with that kind of cash certainly doesn't mean we all can.
You read this forum .
They leak and tear just as often as any other wader.

What is the biggest difference in all these waders to justify such big price discrepancies? I'm looking to purchase entry level breathable waders and boots. Can somebody recommend some for me?

I have a 3 yr old redington i bought for $149 delivered to my doorstep. fished from winter spring summer or fall....i mean, when can't you really fish for rainbows? it's all year round really. just the same time i purchased a streamside rod and okuma raw II. that's pretty much $500 including wading boots. those 4 items are still in use up to now. i've sat on concrete, slipped on mud. i've stepped on my rod at one point had my pin submerged on water. If i'm going to look at the inventory i have of all my gear, these 4 are hall of famers. have a teenager and 2 little ones so money has to be tight somehow. knowing how to tie flies helps on the savings too.

Best to not have them both in for repairs at the same time.

I work my waders hard. No highways up here like duff or willy. I was going through a couple pairs a season with cheap ones. Finally bit the bullet on simms and no regrets. I had them 3 seasons and if I garbage canned em today I got my money's worth to be dry and comfortable.
Honestly I was going to try patagucci this time but I was in a shop and saw the g3s so I'm good to go
