Here we go! Hope you enjoy this virtual trip to Peru!

This trip almost didn't happened TWICE! But I was glad to make the sacrifices to make it happen in the end. Full story on the blog. I spent roughly one week around Cusco and one week in the Peruvian Amazon close to Iquitos. Most of the fishing was done in the Amazon, but I was happy to catch at least one Andean species and two saltwater species. This visit to Peru also allowed me to check off another continent which I have fished. Now I just need Africa and Antarctica !

I'm curious,  how many species do you have on your Ontario species list?

 

I caught the first specimen of 73 species from Ontario (ie, lifelist addition of 73 species, aka a "lifer"). On my blog, it states 72...but I have not update it with the Mimic Shiner I caught on July 25, 2016. In fact, my species list is about some 75 species behind. I will update the entire list after my defense.

I caught 99 lifers from Canada...just missing one for the century mark!!!

wow.   Fished a lot when I was young, but just started species hunting this year.  At 20 - Hoping for 30 by the end of the season.
