I don't understand these regulations for Durham. Highlighted in red in the screenshot attached. The two seem to contradict each other - the bottom rule includes the area that the first rule refers to. Can anyone help me interpret this correctly?

Thank you very much in advance.

The picture I attached may not  be very clear, pasting the rules here for convenience:

ADDITIONAL ZONE 17 FISHING OPPORTUNITIES (https://files.ontari..._17_English.pdf)

Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Pacific Salmon and Atlantic Salmon extended fall season (4th Sat. in Apr. to Dec. 31)

Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Pacific Salmon and Atlantic Salmon open all year

Regional Municipality of Durham - all waters lying between the southerly limit of the C.N.R. right-of-way and Lake Ontario.

Fenwickfisher, thank you for your reply. I think I'm confused about which tracks they were talking about. I initially thought they were referring to the tracks that run north of Grand Valley Park, but after reading your reply, I think what the rules (and you) are referring to are the tracks that run parallel to 401 (through Pickering and Ajax). Is that correct?

they refer to the main line tracks that run to the south of the 401, that the go trains and via rail run on.

you can fish from highway 2 to the lake until the end of the year.

from the first of the year to the 4th saturday in april, yo can fish from the rail tracks to the lake

from the 4th saturday in april to the last day of september, you can fish the entire river system
