[Kokemachine]

Hello, fellow ice anglers.  I know everyone who likes fishing the hard water is licking their lips and rubbing their bellies for this coming season.  I happen to be lucky enough to live directly on the north shore of Lake Nipissing so I have a unique vantage point to report on the ice forming there.  So in anticipation of the coming Nipissing opener (January 1st) I have decided to video document the progression of the ice formation on a daily (or semi daily) basis.  I will try to post my updates on this thread as I make them.  Stay tuned for the "Nipissing Ice Report"

Today's ice test was out maybe 30 ft from shore over about 4 feet of of water. It has less ice than yesterday's test which was done closer to shore.

Note: There have been reports from other Nipissing enthusiasts that they have found much thinner ice in other parts of the lake. As thin as 1.5". Stay off the lake! Here's today's report:
