I have a pond that has very little submerged vegetation, besides from some small weeds and algae blooms on the bottom of the pond. The top of the pond is covered with clumps of algae. There is also a slight current running through the pond supplied by a beaver dam. Is this enough vegetation to support a large mouth bass population?

Thanks, Josh

I've attached a few images of the pond and the stream leading into it.

Looks a bit too shallow? Seems more like a large puddle...

Largemouth definitely don't need vegetation to support themselves, look at the impoundments of middle america that always seem to produce incredible fishing.

That being said I have seen ponds like this support a largemouth population, are there baitfish of any sort? How choked out does it get in the summer (Looks like hell now)? It's definitely not as easy as just introducing them to the pond

The main question is, how deep is the pond?
