Last year I started bass fishing and really enjoyed it. I've been using a 7' medium heavy baitcaster and it is my only setup so far. I'd like to get two more setups for the year, any suggestions?

Your off to a good start (MH) 7'.
I'm assuming (MH) is 10lb to 20lb line weight"

Maybe a heavier setup, 10lb to 25lb, or 12lb to 30lb,
Get a (H) heavy or (XH) extra heavy, with Fast or Extra Fast, action, see how you like it.

How about length ?
Maybe a 6' or 6'6" rod for those tight areas

I'm debating building a 6' 12lb to 30lb for tight casting situations & other inshore saltwater uses
The Jaws 6', 12lb to 30lb Nano Carbon Rod Blank found on eBay

Do not purchase (M) moderate or medium action rod for bass action is way to sloppy.

Purchase a reel with lots of drag + 15lbs or more.

Don't skimp on the line, 50 lb to 80 lb braid is for winching bass out of cover.
8 strand braid or PE line only,
E-Bay China brands, Ashconfish, Hercules, Spectra,
All good quality brands, they do color fade in the sun.
1000m = $35-$45, line weight dependent

I Guess I'm saying beef it up to get the Bass out of cover quickly.

Apples and oranges.
80 lb braid for 2 lb largemouth.
6 lb mono for 15 - 25 lb salmon and 8 - 12 lb steel.
I prefer to leave environment intact.
Leave the pads for cover and logs for turtles to safely sun.

Well back again.
Your making some uneducated accusations there.
Perhaps you can post something positive.
Or is that not your style ?
