Hey all, so after getting some suggestions from a few different sources I've decided to dive into the world of fly fishing. I've looked up instructional videos and have ordered a full rod/reel+more combo setup. I'm considering even getting a beginner lesson in fly fishing, would anybody recommend that? It's about the same price as the combo I purchased (150-200) but I want to make sure it is worth the cost I guess. I am eager to learn but have very little knowledge on spots to go to for fly fishing, I am looking for any panfish, trout, bass, and carp. I'm located in Oakville and am willing to drive up to an hour, can anyone suggest a specific spot on a river or a lake/pond to get me started? In a pm of course.

Anyways thanks for reading, hope you're all having a good season so far.

Hi Doorhandle.  I just started fly fishing myself this year.  I have been using the Orvis website for fly fishing videos and bought there book.  Despite all this I have been in contact with the store in Guelph called hook line and sinker to see about taking an introductory course.  I will be calling the owner tomorrow and I will let you know the details if you are interested.

I unfortunately don't have any advice on where to go.  I am in Orillia so have just been practicing off of the lakes in my area.
