I am looking for advice on bug spray that actually works. I am fishing overnight near the marsh and this guys are brutal. I was soaked in Deep Woods  8 hour repellent and still harassed and bitten multiple times. Has to leave the spot before the time

Go with the patch, some people swear by it.

Which one have you tried so far? In my case OFF Deep Woods/Sportsmen do the job.

I think it was called insect defence ( green package , 6 per).

Google some natural bug repellants. People make some concoctions that apparently work. I’m not sure if it’s just me but bugs don’t seem bother me or if I just deal with them because I’d never spray my body with bug spray. I’d never put deet on me or my family- stuff is pure toxic.

Wear light colors, Don't wear cologne or anything scented. 

 

They always leave me alone anyways and I don't wear bug spray.

Vicks vapour rub and smoke a poop load of cigarettes. Seriously check out vicks vapour rub.
