This is my first post on the forum!
I've just recently gotten back into fishing after many years off. Used to fish the Beaver River in Thornbury everyday all summer long when I was a kid. As a teen I got into the salmon run for a few years with mixed results. This summer I've caught a couple smallies and rock bass in the river but nothing very exciting. Are there any other summer time shore fishing opportunities around the Thornbury area? Two week ago I saw a couple salmon grabbing flies at the mouth of the river but surely it's still too early for the salmon to be running. I caught a couple large bass up in Huntsville this past weekend and now I'm really hoping to find something larger than rock bass near my cottage.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
