Hello. I am new to fishing But spent alot on baitcaster. I am wondering what you can catch with lures(no baitfinese) near markham and any suggest for place near markham. I am also planning to trip to scugog lake or simcoe when bass season opens but do you have to rent a boat or kayak to catch bass there or you can walk through shore and still can catch them.
I appreciate for any thoughts!

Get your boaters license so if you ever want to rent a boat you can.
Bait casters are a little harder to learn to use over spinning reals, you'll need to learn to break with your thumb and experience a 1000 bird nests but you'll get there.
