Spearfishing in Toronto

Is anyone out spearfishing in Toronto?

I have a new spear and looking for advice on where to shoot carp?

I see that we have carte-blanche to shoot carp any distance from the shore.

Any advice?

Give it a couple of weeks then try the Credit River in Mississauga. You'll fit right in.

Are you talking about throwing a spear at fish. Or spearfishing using a speargun?

Take Bathurst Street North all the way to the end. There you will find a marina with plenty of lethargic carp swimming near the surface. Water will not be that clear for spear fishing, better for bow and arrow. Carp will spook in clear water when they see a passer by diver.

Sorry I haven't been on here in a long time.
I think Dive World in Etobicoke organizes late Summer Carp spearfishing using a spear gun. Look them up.
