I bought one of these canoes last year when they were on sale.

good for someone looking for a cheap entry level canoe

Have you used it on any big water? or is it more for small water or slow rivers?

So far only on smaller lakes. I bought an electric motor for it so I may try some larger lakes.
The canoe floats well. had 3 fullsize men 600lbs plus in it once and that squated her down pretty good.
the canoe is pretty heavy if you plan on portaging alot, but you get what you pay for.

Actually I won't give up on this lake just yet it is fairly close for me to go there so I will go there again and also try different spots that way I will eventually find the sweet spots. The lake looks promising and I am sure once you find your spots you will be going back for more as with any new body of water you will need to find what works to bring in the fish.[/quote]

I don't know what lures you were using but the 2 times I went there nothing worked but a husky jerk. all fish caught in the inlet to the right of the boat launch, all smaller size 12-20 inches.

according to their web site there is supposed to be trophy sized pike,I'll beleive it if I ever see it

Does anyone use those Rubber nets for fishing? I have heard that the lures don't catch in the net and it's better for the fish.

rubber nets are the best, lures never get caught, the one I have is not very deep which could pose a problem if I'm ever lucky enough to ever catch a large pike or hopefully soon my first ever muskie. I recommend one of these nets although maybee buy a larger sized one.

In Topic: Anyone ever heard of this?

I was surfin around looking for differnet pike/muskie techniques and came across a sight that sad to take an old rapala, remove the hooks put a leader on the back and hang a daredevil off the leader.

has anybody hear of this before?
