For carp yes its to early when the trout leave oshawa creek is when they start to come in to feed on roe coming down the creek the best bet is wait till you see them at the simcoe bridge and right beside it on that little grass area is a great place to fish for them I use worms about 4 inches off the bottom and catch perch bullhead suckers small freshwater drum and carp the biggest I got was a 33 lb carp on 6 lb test with my sons rod and its a 5.5 foot telescopic rod I was so surprised that it held up for a cheap rod but it did so if you want to try some hard fighting fish try carp you might even see me down there with my 9 foot ugly stick

Lol its not a known spot people walk right by it to get to another so its my secret spot on the creek if I ever run into you on the creek I may show you or not this summer I want to fix it up a bit make it a better hole with logs or stones to break the current

I'm sorry I dnt have any pics. Forgoi my camera and my phone it was a lil spot that is below so rapids and a big pool I wnt give it away cuz IV never saw anyone fish it before the size fly was almost the size of my pinkie bout 3 inches and I used. 2 lb test leader

Hey just got back from the creek found some open water its cold and windy but I decided to try and on my first drift I hooked into a 10 lb hen after letting it go I managed to hook 6 more in this run that nobody fishes I moved down towards the lake and and hooked a few more the biggest I landed was a male in the 15 to 20 lb range pink worms and large black leetch flies worked for me today also saw 3 browns around 5 lbs swiming around but they never hit

It could have been a pike but its hard to even see pike as they are quick to flee but IV heard of muskie attacking people not often but its happend before
