Dirk,

I've actually caught a few Muskie in Scugog off the pier in Caesarea. Got them while I was going after Walleye at night. One decent one... about 42 inches. I think last year. Off a small X-Rap or a suspending jerk like that...

All off of spinning gear and 10 lb test!

Good luck at Rice Lake. I've caught a few near Bewdley...

I've been out about 10 times... a few times for Pike at Frenchman's, and a few times for Steelhead at Duffins, down at the river mouth, and up by Annandale golf course. I haven't trekked anywhere far yet cause of the messed up weather, but I'm looking forward to opener at the end of the month. I figure if my luck continues with Steelhead, I'll head up to Beaverton and fish for perch, even though the last time I went up (last year) it was ridiculously busy.

Pike at Frenchman's Bay tomorrow morning - should be a nice day. Haven't fished for pike yet this year; I hope there are still some fish around.

I'm tired of trying for Steelhead and getting nothing. I'll fish opener night, but that's probably enough steelhead action for me...

Yeah I'm sure you can only fish south of the CN rail tracks... I'll probably try Bowmanville or Wilmot Creek mouths in the next couple of days.

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knows how far up the creeks the Steelhead are. I'm in Durham region and every year it seems like they are running earlier and earlier. I checked the mouth of Duffins Creek in Ajax, and I didn't get any hits, or see / hear from anyone else about any fish moving up from the lake.

If they are, any suggestions as far as places (trying not to go as far as the Ganny, or Port Hope) around Durham region to go?
