We went out today for the last day of pike season until it re-opens in May. Tried our normal spot but didn't get a hit. Decided to try somewhere else and caught this little guy on a red devil spoon. Glad I caught one before the season closed. Was hoping for bigger but I will take it.
We went out today to the spot that prime89 put me on to. It was beautiful out by the lake. This was our second visit to the area which is just 15 minutes from our house. I never knew this fishing existed until now. On Friday I caught a 5 lb pike but wasn't prepared with a camera. I have attached a picture of today's pike as I was more prepared today. He was a little guy (2 lbs) but still had fun. We didn't see anyone else catch anything but a lot of boats in the bay. We are going to try a few more times this week after work as it is going to be really nice out as well. I will update if we catch any more.
