I went down to the river a few times and every time someone hooked a salmon, it broke water right away and they were usually in the 20 lb range but a few days ago one guy hooked a salmon that didn't break water at all...the guy lost it but he was telling me that the bigger ones 35+ lbs dont usually break water...is that true? btw my bad for starting a new topic for a question like this
