Alright so I just went out and bought myself some spey hooks so I could begin tying some spey flies since I've never tied them before. I have seen all CC's posts on his spey patterns and they are all awesome but i have no clue where to start with even picking one of them! Is there any simpler but yet still well effective patterns for spey flies or are CC's patterns not AS hard as im thinking and i should attempt them anyways

Hey guys im heading over to my brothers this weekend which happens to be right near the grand. Ive never fished this river but i am definitely going to hit it up while I'm there.
I understand that no one wants to give away their spots (and im definitely not here to ask) but im just wondering if anyone has any reports to how its been doing lately.
I was thinking that with all this rain it will definitely bring up some nice amounts of steel but ill have to see.

Also my brother told me he lives like five minutes from the dam, but I'm definitely going to try going to a stretch further up, just wondering if anyone could give a pointer or two about how far to go.

Well its certainly been a while since ive last made a post but its always nice to get back here.
With more and more fly tying materials accumulating ive came to a problem with how i should organize all these!
i have all my materials packed in one box which is starting to overflow and cant even shut! is there anything that someone would recommend to get to put everything in?
