During a bike ride found a storm pond at Shirley Dr and Redstone Rd that had large red and grey coloured carp swimming in them. Not sure how they got there, but am tempted to try chumming with canned corn and fishing for them.

I was there with my 7 year old son August 24, 2011 from 1pm - 3pm.
Parked the car next to the Grenadier Cafe and hiked down the path next to the water fall/fountain and at the bottom turned right and fished along the shore for the next 50 meters.
My son caught a crappy, perch and sunfish using a worm on a number 8 bait hook, split shot and clip on float and of course released them.
Found and picked up a lot of discarded fishing line that people irresponsibly left behind.
I fished there during my youth and always caught something. The list include catfish, sunfish, crappy and , BIG carp that took well over 10 minutes to land. All safely released.
It was great sharing this experience with my young son and hopefully he will be hooked on fishing like me.

This is as close to downtown Gerrard and Greenwood.
Years ago they sold live bait, worms, minnow, leach. Not sure these days

Might be the same owner. Bought worms from this location a few weeks ago, saw other live bait as well, even had a sign OPEN 24 HOURS.
