Nado,

To Date, We wil only ave one set of prizes,

If we get more interest and a larger amount of participants, We can change the prize rules anytime up until the day of the event.

Assuming 50 adult participants, For the event, The prizes would be a minimum of what is shown to date on the webpage.

Unfortunately a person cannot always expect a pike to bite, If there are not any pike caught or only a few, The remaining prizes can be won by the largest perch caught on the bay.

Hopefully we can keep track of what the participants have caught in this event, and use that to open a bigger competition for next year.

Sail has donated a 25 dollar gift certificate, along with a sports bag, to be entered as prizes, We hope to get more companies and personal interest from other sponsors before this event date.

Feel Free to Ask any questions, Or add your input.

In Topic: december 18 atlantic salmon confirm :)

19 December 2011 - 07:58 PM

I caught my First Ever atlantic this past summer on Lake ontario Trolling for chinook Salmon in a tournament.

We had the rigger set down 90 feet in 130 fow.

It was a weird day, thinking we were in Chinook territory,

We managed some of the largest Steehead i have witnessed as well as My 6 pound atlantic,

As for the fight, I honestly thought i had a 15 pound chinook salmon on the line,

Very surprised when i saw it jump for the first time just a little thing on the line.....

We cannot keep them yet, Unless they are Extremely Huge in size, But They are worth catching, Lets hope they get the 50+ pounds as recorded from 80 years ago....

Milne Dam, Fishing Is great nearly anytime of year.

So long as the water is safe, you can catch nearly every species of fish known to the Great lakes tributary, "ROUGE RIVER"

Carp are most likely the most Viewed fish on top of the water.

On top of the darn, You Are able to catch Rainbow trout, and Very nice Size Bass. A Small row boat or canoe, Can get you to some Prime Holes throughout the Over filled river.

It Does Look Very murky, But The Fish ARE there, There is also a tackle shop on hwy 7 at kennedy just in case you want to grab some fresh worms.

Fishing on the rouge river is open until new years day, From lake ontario to hwy 407.

And if you are out, and see some garbage, please do what you are capable of to help clean up...

Tight Lines.....
