I have the RV9 also and Its a good rod, just a step behind my IMX. Its only available with rings. I've heard from many people they dislike rings. Is there a particular reason? I have rods with fixed seats and some with rings. If wrapped properly, I find the rings just as comfortable. Its just the hassle of wrapping it but when you have the right balance, it basically stays all season.
