I have used the lindy darters not the salmo series. I find them on the light side for fishing the river, the max weight is 3/8 oz on the lindy. I have looked into the old salmo zipper and have interest in that, looks like it has potential through the ice.
The live target has a really good rattle in it. I went to Lockport Mb which is normally filled with fish in the winter and was catching 2 at a time on it. One on the belly hook and one on the tail hook..... fishing it naked. The live forage is new, I have used it on several occasions and had good luck with it. I just wish I could get out more to really give it a go
LOL atleast you got out we had no safe ice down this way at all and they are the lindy darter's i bought.i also bought some of the rapala clackin rap's but i well be stocking up on the live forage and the live targets.hopefully next season we get a cold winter so i can try lol.
