Thanks but I am talking about internal counterweights while making the lure not adding weights to a finished one. If anyone knows if the balsa wood lure would still float even with a little weight inside for casting distance that would be grate thanks
I am new to this fourm and im not to sure where and if we can post pictures. Anyway Ive always fished from shore as I dont have a boat which I would love to have. All we catch from shore is junkie fish like Sheephead and Channel Cat. I was out at my spot last sunday and though I had a bunch of weeds so I went to set the hook to see and bam I hooked this thing. We had no net so had to walk it around to the beach area and lift it out.
10 lb Sheephead!!!
Hey that's really funny I live in lakeshore and I fish there next to Lilly Kazilly's all the time and what I can recommend is getting there early in the mourning and use bass baits like artificials such as: tubes, jib'n grub, and drop shot. You can even just use the minnows on the pickeral rig(spreader) which is traditionally and what everyone uses. All I can say is get there in the morning.
