I don't need proof from anyone to accept they have their own opinion. Not having all the facts, perhaps I don't really have an opinion myself.

Considering the great work of our moderators and community to keep this great site working and civil (THANKS), I'd find it encouraging if the dead horse beating stopped.

I missed some excitement and haven't been on the board that long, I suppose. All said, I never had an issue with Blair but again I have been away for a while.

For the folks who don't want Blair back, no worries. You might get your wish. If I was Blair and read this thread I would question why I would want to come back.

I am glad to hear you learned the lesson and are here to share it with others. I always check the forecast including the wind.

My lesson from this summer was don't underestimate the wake of a commercial fishing boat. I was out perching in Erie when a commercial fishing boat passed us several hundred feet away. Not paying enough attention, it was an interesting moment when the wake met my stern. Thankfully I took no water but was caught off guard and surprised. Not next time.
