Ace Fishing: Wild Catch - Best fishing game ever!

25 June 2014 - 02:10 PM

I don't have the opportunity to get out and fish and often as I would like so from time to time I look up fishing games for my phone, unfortunately the games I've found either suck, cost money to keep playing, or don't hold my attention for very long.

A few weeks ago a buddy of mine told me about a fishing game that he's been playing on his phone so I downloaded it and gave it a try.

This game is fun, looks great, free to play, and helps satisfy my urge to fish better than anything else without actually going fishing!

The game is Ace Fishing: Wild Catch, and it is available for both android and apple phones and tablets.

I wanted to share with everyone here who may be interested, and perhaps some of you have already found the game.

So if you're someone who enjoys playing the odd game and would be interested in trying a fishing game, I would highly recommend this one.

If you end up enjoying the game, or play it already, and want to add some people to your friend's list, drop your id below.

I hope this thread is within the forum rules, and this seemed to be the best board on which to share it.

Sauble Falls

25 June 2014 - 01:24 PM

Hello all.  Been a while since I've posted, and sadly I still have yet to get out and fish this year!

My family and I will be renting a cottage in Sauble Beach for the first full week in July.  I'm planning on bringing my fishing gear with and hoping to get away for a day somewhere to go fishing.  I need somewhere I can fish without a boat (either shore, dock, or wading) and if it's a nice place to swim as well that would be even better.

I'm looking at heading up to the Sauble Falls park for a day, and I'm wondering if anyone has been fishing there about the same time of year.  Anyone been fishing there around the same time of year?  Anyone know if it fits my needs, or know of another place nearby that might be better suited?  Any tips on how to fish the area would also be appreciated.

And while I'm mostly looking for some enjoyable catch and release, I'd not be adverse to taking home anything worth eating, any info on what to look for to take home, or to avoid taking home, would also be appreciated.

Thanks guys.
