I like sail the most but the nearest one is 3.5 hours away. So I'm at Canadian tire the most. Along with a local outfitter.

Hey sorry for late reply but, no, no dangerous spots I can think of to stay away from. Shoals are marked pretty well on both lakes.

yes, something like that has happened to me. I also was fishing for bass when a musky swam out from under my boat and actually bit the blades on my front mount trolling motor, he was about 35 inches or so. I have also seen on many times where pike or musky will swim beside my motor and watch it.
Yeah I was telling this story to my buddy and he said he had one come up and try to bite his trolling motor.

Talon lake. Fish the edge of weedbeds in 20 feet of water or so. Wasi is good too. Just troll all over it and your bound to pick up a few.

You're too concerned about the colour. What bass want can change hour to hour. You need to experiment with different baits and colours and let the bass tell you what they want. I personally like to have at least 3 colours of a specific bait, a light, medium and dark coloured. I don't worry too much about the specific colour as i do the shade.i have a spinner in the fire tiger colour, would that work
When you do find out what the fish are bitin its a good feeling. Good luck!
